Buildings

The Faculty of Commerce facilities are distributed throughout two buildings, located opposite one another on Torrecedeira Street: The central building and an annex building with facilities shared with the Industrial School of Engineering.

Other Facilities in the Centre

Academic Staff Offices

There are 41 offices for the academic staff divided in the two buildings. Some members of the academic staff share teaching and research activities with other centres.

Students Delegation

The Students Delegation has a space reserved on the first floor of the central building.

Meeting Room

The meeting room is located on the first floor of the central building. It is commonly used for board meetings, academic staff meetings, elections to the different governing bodies, signing of agreements and other protocolary acts.

Assembly Hall

The assembly hall on the first floor of the central building has 86 seats, and is equipped with video projector, screen, multimedia equipment, air conditioning, heating and a space adapted for wheelchairs.

Reading Room

The Reading room of the Faculty of Commerce is a large space where students can read and study. It has 52 reading stations distributed across thirteen tables, with overhead lighting.

Library

The library of the Faculty of Commerce has a wealth of resources linked to the business world. Amongst many other services, it offers: on-site reading and reference, book-lending, bibliographical information, interlibrary loan and remote consultation via electronic resources (database, electronic magazines, electronic books, etc.).

In addition to the library’s bibliographical resources located in the library facilities, students can access all of the university’s bibliographical and documentary resources via inter-departmental lending and network connection to an extensive collection of electronic journals and databases.

The University Library website provides access to the catalogue, services, as well as bibliographical and electronical resources of all the university libraries.

General Services

Wireless Connection

The faculty building has a wireless connection. All the members of the University community have access to this service via the password linked to their personal email account provided by the university.

Online Teaching Resources

As a support to the teaching activity, the platform Moovi is available for teaching staff and students with online resources for tele-training.

Cafeteria Service

There is a cafeteria service placed in the central building.

Lockers

There are lockers available for the students to keep their personal belongings.
